New build, few questions

Hi guys,

 

i just ordered thoose parts for my next gaming/workstation pc:

(1400€ - price for components where i live)

 

I will be using my new build for rendering videos, photoshop, gaming at 1440p 60 hz (Dell U2715H) and mostly programming (android studio). I know i made overkill with motherboard, but i had my reasons (well sort of).

 

My first question is about xeon processor. Will i be able to set all 4 cores of xeon on turbo boost (3,8) at the same time, with my motherboard? 

 

Second question is about Sapphire r9 390. How much is the safe limit to overclock it and is it worth doing so?

 

My secred motivation for buying a desktop pc even though i have pretty powerfull laptop was Oculus Rift, did i make the right move with AMD R9 390?

I think it looks good. The only thing I suggest is an H97 board instead of a Z97 because you cannot overclock that Xeon, but if you already have it, there is no problem with it.

Only thing I'd do since you already have the z97 is get s BeQuiet! Pure Rock CPU cooler, let me look up that power supply

I would get a different PSU. It was made by some Chinese electrical technology company so... An EVGA GS or G2 series series, anything made by XFX or sea sonic and super flower are also good,

I would go for a 500GB SSD but rest is purrrrrfect! ;3

 

And yeah OC a 390 works but do not go to far also yes its rift compatible I am sure...

Thanks for responses guys. So nobody knows if msi gaming 7 motherboard is able to set al 4 cores of xeon on turbo boost?

It should! But XEON cannot OC... (but if it has turbo then yes it should activate!)
