Portable music player

Yuval

Hello, my Cowon C2 dropped dead, so I'm looking for a replacement.

Anyone knows any good contenders? I'm looking for a player that will work with FLAC, WAV etc... My music varies from 900kbps to 3300kbps - IEMS are the Shure SE-215 which i may end up switching for a SE-425, who knows.

Memory isn't an issue, my music library is small so even 8GB max should do well

Another thing, would be very important for me if it would have above average durability, dust proofing and water resistance.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, and thanks for the help!

All I can think of is the Fiio X1

For $100, there isn't much that's water and dust proof. However, the fiio x1 can do everything else!

The quality takes a second priority for me, anything else which those have water/dust proofing for 100$?

That won't work..

Anyways I would like the Fiio X1 but it lacks FM radio.

If nothing can fit my requirements really, how would something like a X1 compare to a run of the mill smartphone?

A smartphone is just slightly worse with slightly higher output impedance. Unless you're using the dap for quiet time use, i dont think you'll notice the differences

For $100 by far your best bet is the Fiio X1. MicroSD card (up to 128GB) of course sold separately.

If you have the budget consider its bigger brother the X2 which not only has better internals but can also act as a DAC+AMP USB Soundcard for your PC when not being used as a "portable" device.
