Google Chrome Audio Issues

Hey everyone.

 

Here's a strange problem which I need help with.

After upgrading to Windows 10 (Which I already love) everything was fine. All programs work and files are still there.

 

But when I go to Google Chrome and try to play a YouTube video, the audio and playback stutters all over the place. At first i thought this was because of Flash, so I tried FireFox.

And it worked perfectly. Then i remembered, Google Chrome uses HTML5, not Flash. So I'm at a loss for what is causing this issue.

 

Your help would be much appreciated.

It is probably just a driver issue in google chrome that will probably get fixed in the next update. Have you tried playing any other audio via google chrome?

Just tried a video that requires flash using Google Chrome (BBC Iplayer - a catchup website) and it is fine. I think the issue is with HTML5, since its working fine on the BBC website and fine on Firefox.

Then my only suggestion would be to either wait for google chrome to get an update, or use firefox and/or spartan until it is fixed. If you want you could uninstall chrome and reinstall and see if that helps, but it likely just a driver issue with windows 10.

I had a similiar issue, 

plug the device (if it's an USB one) into a different port, so it download the drivers again.

Had that happen with my schiit stack.

EDIT: that was on win7 though

I was thinking it could just be chrome needing an update since I have tried the uninstall/reinstall technique to no avail.

Guess I'm stuck on Firefox for the time being.

I had a similiar issue, 

plug the device (if it's an USB one) into a different port, so it download the drivers again.

EDIT: that was on win7 though

its an Asus DSX sound card, pci-e. It works fine in windows and other programs, just not chrome. Oh well, I refer back to my previous statement and will just have to wait for chorme to get a compatibility update.

I don't have that issue after i upgrade my drivers on ASUS site. You probably want to head to your motherboard site to see if they have drivers for Windows 10 because i know ASUS already have their.

I've got an asus DGX installed as well as the schiit stack, so... 

Try reinstalling the sound card drivers.
