FYI Intel HD drivers for W10 come from Windows Update

chadmodan

I was trying to enable quicksync on my w10 machine and couldn't find/get the right drivers until I realized I needed to have the igpu enabled then run Windows update. You cannot even get the driver from Intels website. What a load of crap...

So do you only use the iGPU?

Seems that lately the Intel GPU drivers have been pushed through Windows now, I find it absolutely convenient because of how broke Intel's website is sometimes.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea that you can get it from windows update but the fact that it's not being hosted by intel is what grinds my gears. Especially as someone who likes to keep a usb of drivers on hand for various reasons, having to go through the windows process and download then isntalle verytime is annoying.
