MSI GTX 980ti with Samsung UD590 monitor

Guest Michelle68

OK, so it's been a rough week with trying to get this new computer up and running and stable here in the Michelle household. I had bought an NVidia 980 reference card from BestBuy trying to save a little money and had to return two of them. So I decided based off of a few recommendations to buy the MSI GTX 980ti. Well, then I was like I really should stop using an old 720p 32" TV as a monitor and upgrade that too. I decided after seeing the quality of picture to buy the Samsung 28" 4K UHD monitor.

Well, here are some initial numbers on what my system looks like currently. I don't really know anything about OC'ing but that's on the to do list. So far I'm not 100% sure that I like this monitor. It feels really hard to get the display set so I'm not being drowned out in white. I've had some issues with the mouse and WoW - when I log into the game the camera is so fast that it's uncontrollable. GTAV didn't reeeeally seem all that great even with the settings turned up.

Maybe I just have such bad eye sight that I'm missing out on all the amazingness of what this monitor and graphics card are supposed to deliver.

What cable are you using to connect the monitor? And to what port are you connecting it to?

DP, what other cable would I be using? Not sure what you mean by what port.
