I would swap the 970 for a R9 390,

and maybe get two 4gb sticks ( unless you want to upgrade later )

Recommend what is best, not what you preffer.

Not as demanding as you think.

Demanding enough that a 4690k at 4.5ghz and a Gigabyte 970 G1 with 1550mhz Core 2000mhz Mem drops into the 40's at 1080p ultra

Crysis 3 no way, and like as already said, change the GTX 970 for a R9 390 ;)
