Laptop choices

Hi LTT  community i am in need of your help.

 

I am a going to be a University student in about 2 months and was planning on getting a laptop to help with studies. My course will involve 3d modelling, animations and unity development. Like most of the offer people I would also like to play games with the laptop that I select.

 

Games:

 

Any new title really, I would not play at the highest setting though. To used to running at medium but would like atlest or around 60FPS.

 

Requirements:

 

Country - UK 

Budget - £1200

 

CPU - i7 mobile  (Preferably)  

RAM - 8 GB+ 

GPU - 970M (Preferably) or lower 

SSD - 128GB Msata or m.2 

HDD - 1TB (Can buy separately if needed)

Screen - 15.6 + (IPS Preferably TN acceptable)

 

Noise would like to keep to a minimum but can buy a laptop cooler for it to keep it quiet. 

 

I believe those are the main things. I think I am asking for a lot but any recommendation from you guys are welcome.

do not get slim gaming laptop, they have terrible cooling which results in thermal throttling, poor performance and worse burning hot keyboard area.

 

Get something like Asus G751JT or G751JY.

 

It has IPS screen that is overclockable to 100Hz easily.

 

Doesn't thermal throttle and runs very cool and quiet.

 

No Nvidia Optimus (intel graphics enabled) so you won't have issues with LCD overclocking, fullscreen issues, missing nvidia features.

 

Has G-Sync hack.
