Ugly PSU cables...(!)

Go to solution Solved by 1Scotty1,

I see that you're from the Netherlands, mind telling me where you got them from?

I am from Slovakia :D I had those custom made by @modguru here :) they have a website www.modguru.net

Hey, just got my CM V650 PSU and it's really good for both my system and my wallet.

But I can't help but notice the ugly 24pin cable with all the colors you can imagine.

I'm going for a (Uh huh, you know what it is) black and yellow (black and yellow) build so all the other cables are fine.

But do you know an easy way to just cover up the colors of the 24pin?

Can I spray paint them black if I cut open the bundle they are kept in?

Also, I'm not really open to custom sleeving as I don't want to risk hurting the system.

(I'd rather have someone else do it who knows how to. But I don't have the money nor contacts to make that happen.)

Any suggestion is really appreciated! :)

Pauls hardware just did a DIY video on painting the 24 pin connector.

You can simply use some plasti dip, due to it's strength and bend-ability.

Try to bend the cable to the position it'll be in when it's in the case and plugged in, and then paint it like that.

Do mind that this probably will void your warranty.

When in doubt: C4

I'd say to just buy a 24 pin extention.

Can that fuck up the performance in anyway? :/

easiest and cheapest way, wrap them in electrical tape! i sleeved my whole psu, took like 32 hours, made my fingers sore for weeks but was so worth it!

Does the tube from the x61 come with the white cables?

Nope, I bought those anti-kink coils (that's what they are called) from EKWB and I had to wind it on the hose turn by turn :D
