Can I run a 770 on LGA 775 ?

Kalevro

Will a GTX 770 be held back from a core 2 duo E8400, my mobo is LGA 775 is there a processor on that socket that won't slow my performance ? I don't want to change my mobo

LGA775 is ancient, as are the CPUs so bottlenecks are quite probable

Yes, but it would get bottlenecked by the E8400. Better get a cheaper graphic card that would give you the same exact predominance as your CPU will hold back anything in the mid tier.

Judging by how ancient it is not only would be hard to get a processor that still works, you would still run into issues as it's slow.

QXXX Overclocked will bottleneck the card less. I suggest you to buy a good cooler and oc the shit out of it.

you probably want to get a core 2 quad processor of the highest caliber you can find and then OC it as much as possible with a good cooler. you will still bottleneck most likely. but this is the best case scenario for you
