The 980 Ti amp Extreme is amazing

Statecat

I've been using this card for a week and it is fantastic. I am getting 70-80+ FPS in the witcher 3 with hairworks off, 144 FPS in Bioshock, Borderlands, and Subnautica, and 120+ FPS in Toxikk. I have yet to test any Crysis games but in 3D mark under the high end benchmarks my card was 98% better than all the other results. The ASIC quality is 70%. While this isn't the best, it is better than I was hoping and I don't mind it considering it is overclocked so high. The card can get a little loud, but is dead silent idle. The Witcher 3 is really the only game I have tested so far that gets the card running a little louder. But my headphones drown the sound out anyway and they are open back, so really it must not be that loud. Temps are good too, with it being around 40-ish degrees celsius idle and 60+ when under load. This is a drastic improvement compared to my previous Titan X which ran in the 80s and was as loud as a leaf blower. Who else owns this card? What sort of performance have you guys been getting if so?

I'm going to punch your face- IN THE FACE.

Yes sir! It does the cooling job very well. That weird fan design definitely helps a lot. ^_^ The previous 980 amp extreme apparently was a lemon, but this card definitely is not.

Playing Borderlands at 144 FPS feels pretty amazing. Hahaha. It's completely overkill. :D

Have you messed with OC much? I'm curious what yours can do compared to a G1.

I actually haven't really. It plays games so well that I almost don't feel the need to overclock at all. I definitely will when I get the time though. 70+ FPS in the Witcher 3 is pretty fantastic if I say so myself.

Same here, again.

The Cards Performance is so insane, i see no need to OC yet at all.

If you can OC your CPU more, this might hit 144 constant xD. It's single-thread limited for the most part.

Hahahaha that would just be for the hell of it wouldn't it? Hahaha I will set my CPU to 4.4 ghz and see what happens. xD

Yes, I know that airflow in the front is literally 0CFM from the cables.

If they were a more reputable company, I would have given the amp a try, but too many unknowns with them

Haha I have an 800D, Phantom 410, C70, 500R, 380T, 250D in order of size. :P

The C70 still has my i5/Hero VI setup and 32GB of RAM, compared the measly 8GB I'm using now. The rest are empty cases sitting inside of their boxes... Sometimes I wonder why I put the i7 and 980TI in the 250D instead of the C70. There so much space in there. It even has the power cables pre-routed from when I pulled a 670 out of it earlier this week.

I had two F12's at the top too, because it had a H100i in it until a week ago as well. I'm trying to sell it off, so I've been downsizing everything. Traded a H100i + new H60 model for $100 and this older model H60. :)

EDIT: Hey, we use the same SSDs too! Well, kind of. I have 8 250GB 840 EVOs at the moment from various previous builds so that's the drive that's just laying on the bottom of the case. Not quite an 850 Pro but... We also use the same keyboard.
