Hi Guys.

 

Since the amp! extreme is a very big Graphics Card i wonder how it fits in your Cases and how it looks.

 

Would be nice to see some Pictures of your Systems with this Behemoth inside.

In my Eyes its the best 980Ti atm.

 

-super fast

-silent

-cool

 

You have to OC every other Custom card to reach the amp!extreme´s speed and there is no quaranty that you will get a good overclocker.

 

If you want the best out of the Box performance you can get. This is your Card.

What custom 980ti to get is 99% about aesthetics. Even the zotac amp extreme comes at a factory clock that any 980ti I've seen/heard of can beat.

Personally I would consider it but the backplate is tacky as fuck and I won't have that shit in my computer.

If you say so... 1355 is nothing for gm200. Hell almost all cards gpu boost higher than that due to favorable thermals.

And yes in theory cooling is a concern, but it's a very marginal difference between the decent 980tis out there today. Coil whine is pretty luck of the draw as well.

Seriously it really comes down to aesthetics, and imho (which by definition cannot be false) the zotac amp extreme is tacky as fuck and as such will not ever go in any build I am a party to.

I'll take a picture when I get mine. I had it RMA'd but it was actually a wrong diagnosis on my part. I trusted the drivers and shouldn't have... GeForce Experience had me wait like 2 minutes before I could do anything on startup.

 

Here's my setup, it's sort of a teaser. I went with a silent build with no shiny LED's:

- Define R5 case with bequiet! fans at 1000 RPM max

- Core i7 4790k at 4.7 GHz cooled by a Cooler Master Nepton 240M

- Asus Z97-WS board ( :wub: )

- 16 Gb G.Skill kit clocked at 2400 MHz

- Samsung SM951 M.2 SSD on a PCIe add in card

- Corsair HX850i power supply

- Samsung Spinpoint 2TB 2.5" drives in raid 0 for storage (behind the MB tray)

- Zotac 980Ti Amp! Extreme
