Painting the stock cooler

Hey guys i painted my case red few days ago and i still have left of paint in the spray can I'm planning to paint my heatsink red to make the heatsink match and also it is intel stock heatsink...

You mean the aluminum part? that is a very, VERY bad idea

I forgot about the temps i get my min is 40 and max is 51 and 52

yep and how i paint it prep work or do i need sanding it ?

You can paint it but as others have expressed it's highly not recommended it greatly affects cooling performance if you directly paint the heatsink. It would be a better choice to get an aftermarket heatsink that matches the color scheme of your build instead.

Yeah I'm planning to buy a big heatsink that linus use only a air on the CPU

That would be a much better decision than painting the stock one.

NCIX PC did it. They painted it pink here is the link! Not sure if it will sacrifice temperatures though.
