PS3 fix needed

OK so ps3 recently broke, I am not a dedicated PS3 "gaymer" but I have some nostalgia for some of the games that were on there so I have it hooked up to my monitor as well and I play the occasional COD MW1 or what not. And what happened was the HDMI port broke and by "broke" i mean that the prongs of the hdmi out port are mangled up and disoriented. So how to I fix this and how much money do I need to spend.

I'm not sure you can fix it without having someone re-solder a new port and spending a lot of money.

 

In the meantime, a cheaper route would be a Component to HDMI adapter and just run the component connection to that to your monitor, instead. Will still look the same, 1080p, etc.

Nono, I can solder, I have the tools and the etiquette to do so. But I need so know where I can buy an HDMI port to solder on?

This will work, too, as the PS3 also supports composite, but you will get less quality after it's being upscaled than component.

NO!! Do not use that - that's for composite, which is only standard definition! You need component, which is red/blue/green + red/white, not that!
