HDD replacement in ps4

scobie56

so its my friends birthday tomorrow and he has a ps4 he has almost ran out of space so i am going to buy him a 1tb drive to replace the 500gb one i was wondering if i can put the ps4 drive in my pc and then the new 1tb one and just copy the files from the 500gb drive and put them on to the 1tb drive

My speakers dont even fit on or under my desk...PA's FTW

Sadly, no. I tried that once, but the option really is to get an external hard drive and backing it up straight off the PS4 and then replacing the hard drive.

No, this doesn't work. The internal drive PS4 is not readable with a PC.

It doesn't void it. Sony said they approve of hdd changes

Also that drive will never work again haha

no its possible.

If it was, I would have done it.

But I was unable to. Ergo, impossible.
