I suppose it's kinda funny how in the multirotor communities the 3dr's and the phantoms are very comparable to what we know as console peasants.

Simple to use, low maintenance, only needs to update one thing. But also somewhat limited in usability and you can arguably get something better for the same price if you build it yourself. Where the DIY multirotor have the same "problems" as our DIY PC's has. Everything needs updates, compatibility issues, needs to do lots of research and so on.

So I guess Linus is not true master race after all!

@nicklmg I highly recommend that you guys try to get a Phantom 3 or even an Inspire. Far, far superior to the 3DR products for video and photo purposes and the gimbals are far superior (DJI is scary good with gimbals, their Ronin units are Hollywood staples these days).

If you thought the Solo was the best ever, you guys are in for a treat with the P3 or Inspire.

So when will  you guys start using it in your filming?

One issue that Linus mentioned is that due to the lack of stabilization, use of the drone for anything but hobby stuff or just flying around is pretty impractical, and doesn't work too well.

Beautiful Picture! Where is that?!

@LinusTech I would be interested in seeing a DJI product review, like a Phantom, or (although not so practical for consumers) one of the Spreading Wings series, and maybe even attaching the FS700 to a quad/octocopter and seeing how they fare (and giving Brandon a heart attack from fright).
