Nvidia Shield + Laggy 4k tv

Guest
Go to solution Solved by noisebomb44,

Im really interested in the Nvidia shield and a 4k tv.

I found the LG 55UB820V but in some customer reviews i see that it has a laggy processor which messes with the video and sound sometimes. But if i get the Nvidia Shield the tv will use the tegra x1 chip on the shield instead of the processor on the tv, right?

if you hook up the shield with the TV with a HDMI cable, and watch TV using the shield, then it will use the x1 chip

Yes it should not be an issue

Although perhaps you should find a TV that doesnt have processing issue before you buy it :D

But it was pretty cheap (900€ and against its competition it was a steal for that price) and available in my local store and overall best customer reviews below the 1000€ line.

If its the scalar causing the input lag it wont matter what you plug it into the lag will still be there (which is a common problem for TVs).

In the customer review he mentioned the lag was only present when using software smoothing and while browsing SmartTV.
