Not here to start a flamewar but who else feels the same way?

getrekt

I really like these kind of videos, I mean it let you kind of dream right ?

Its like if, let's say, a TV show about cars only showed average car that people drive everyday, instead of dream cars like Lambo and all, it makes no sense. (I don't like cars but that's the best exemple I coudl find :D)

Before I express my thoughts I request everyone to keep it civil down here!

OK here we go.....

LTT stop doing content that will appeal to 12 year olds!

I don't mean any offence to 12 year olds or LTT but the recent content has been a little (more like a lot) not so very helpful!

Examples -

128 gigs of ddr4... What!? You may give them a sponsor spot but a whole video!!!

32 gigs of ram in a Gigabyte brix.....seriously!!? That brix won't need even 24 (even 16 is more than enough!)

You may make one video about the crazy 18 core processors and include the server story in your office build log as a small section but a whole video series for that!?

I could keep on going but I don't wish to. Please let's have a civil discussion about this down below and trolls and haters please keep your thoughts to yourselfs.

If you wish to justify such content ideas then please do so with respect for each other.

The gsync vs vsync video was great BTW and such videos are welcome but please get rid of the ridiculous and impractical videos that won't help anyone.

I have to agree. A lot of the stuff I've been seeing has just been unwatchable, and not relative to any resemblance of modern PC world

I do say the same on the youtube videos, but there are a lot of kids that like that Porn factor of the Ultimate systems type stuff. Cover that with the fact there is far too much sponsored content. I mean digital storm.... Really!

Super Ram Approves ^_^

But really though, packing that much ram into a tiny machine could mean in future people can get a relatively high-performance NAS system running in a matter of hours-or even minutes.

Speedtests

WiFi - 7ms, 22Mb down, 10Mb up

Ethernet - 6ms, 47.5Mb down, 9.7Mb up

It's completely blown out of proportion. Also if you're the least bit worried about data gathering then you should go live in a cave a 1000Km from the nearest establishment simply because every device and every entity gathers information these days. In the current era privacy is just fallacy and nothing more.

Totally disagree, I really enjoy those videos. They may not be practical but they're fun to watch. Build videos are my favorite kind of videos that LTT produces and that includes the wacky silly ones, which quite frankly are better than the more practical ones since I can do the more practical ones at home. I'm not about to go buy 128GB of DDR4 or 4 Titan Xs for my own build though, but it is fun to watch others do it.

I know I might sound like a dick but I love most of the content on LTT but I like it daily as you all put out videos daily and some days I won't watch as the videos are ridiculous! Sorry if I hurt or made you angry! Il just go!

@LinusTech keep making similar content and sorry if I ruined your day!

So first you wanted them to change their content completely, now you're telling them to keep on doing it? Okay then.

What part of "enthusiast" do you not understand?

Most people who are older than twelve probably have experience with other sorts of hobbies or avocations, and if you look at most any of them a bit you'll see that the people involved in those endeavors also tend to do things that are not especially efficient or reasonable.

I just watched a video last night about a group of smiths who forged a Japanese style sword using essentially ancient techniques starting from iron ore - that one sword took hundreds of pounds of charcoal and countless man-hours to produce.

And when compared to the sorts of people who hand tie fly lures, in order to catch one single fish, only to then let it go, pretty much anything else seems fairly sensible.

So, if you want to be a real man you have to have a MAXIMUM of 16GB of RAM and if you want to be a Kid you need 128GB of RAM....  <_<
