This is what i've been looking for. Hopefully MX blues are coming.

 

At first glance, i can't see where they've cut back to decrease the price from their previous keyboards.

 

Also, does anyone know if corsair released that promised update for their RGB keyboards to enable access to all of those 16.8 million colours?

This makes little to no sense, unless you are on a ridiculous budget. For starters, it is only £30 cheaper than a K70 RgB, which provides an aluminium frame and RGB backlighting and fully programmable keys.

Keyboards with genuine Cherry switches at greatly reduced prices? Who can object to that? I'm all for mechanical keyboards reaching the masses.

How is this a lower price? The k70 has been 110-120 USD for months... Is it a better deal in Canada?

In USD the strafe is literally the exact same price atm as the k70.

idk about over there, but here the k70(nonrgb) is the exact same price as this new crappier offering.

Well, on Amazon the K70 is $130 (discounted to $110) while the Strafe is naturally $110. With that said, I still wouldn't call it cheap -- especially compared to CM/Ducky's offerings around $80-90.

It's been discounted for a long time. And hell best buy had been selling them for 120 usd since May. (I don't know if they also lowered price). I feel like this is just an attempt to get a cheaper to make keyboard out there and phase out the k70 (non rgb) to get margins up without offering a better experience for buyers.

True. See here is the thing. The k70 non rgb is all hardware functionality. No software. So between using software instead of hardware and using what looks to be a much cheaper build quality in general, I can't possibly see how that is supposed to benefit consumers.

(Btw hardware lighting control is the bees knees if you use this for work or on numerous operating systems.)
