AMD R7-360 Gigabyte OC Review and Benchmarks 4k

This is a full review and benchmark of the Gigabyte R7-360 OC Edition. BTW the benchmarks are 1080p and video is 4K.

Overall this card is aesthetically pleasing and there are no problems with the cooling apart from the noise.

Overclocking

This card already comes with an overclock of 1200Mhz from 1050MHz but doesn't go much above that in MSI AB. It wouldnt allow voltage increase and only let me set the power target to 110%, this gave me an OC of +80 on the core and +30 on the memory. This inst a big issue as most other 360's have much lower clock speeds.

Fan Noise

The fan noise is noticeably loud and hits 72dB under full load but isn't to bad on idle and is only 62dB.

Temps

Overall the temps are very good for this small cooler, at idle it's 36°C and when gaming stays around 60°C. During testing it hit a maximum of 62°C.

Conclusion

Pros

Good for competitive games at 1080p, plays almost any game at 1080p, small form factor, nice cooler, good factory OC, low clock speeds on idle.

Cons

Loud fan, average performance compared to 750ti and 260x, 500W minimum PSU, V-ram easily filled, bad overclocker.

The video is actually kind of fuzzy in 4K. But hey, just so you know that someone actually watched it in 4K, not on a 1080p monitor (:

Thanks for the feedback, next time I will bring the camera closer instead of zooming.

@BaldrickSodoff

Can you post a summary of the review to OP...

Mods might mistake this as self-promotion which is against CoC.

There's an edit link/button at the bottom of the post.

Also from the title, I thought you benched the 360's performance in 4K...

Here it costs the same as a vanilla 750. Would you say this is a better deal?

Is it fair to call it a bad overclocker just because it already has a massive overclock out of the factory? In reality you got a 230 Mhz overclock over the base, which is really good traditionally.

Well, out of the box it has an epic overclock compared to the other 360's but in terms of squeezing much more performance there isn't much head room. I guess I should have taken the out of box overclock into consideration.

This is the first time I have used the camera for a review, next time I will bring the camera closer as it looses quality when zoomed in. Thanks for the feedback. Plus I only have a 1080p monitor so I can't check it in 4k.
