Interesting car, doesn't seem like the 1 series is available in the US though. Imo, an improvement to the concierge service could be to have a rating system for drivers and helpers, sort of like uber, though I'm going to assume their process of choosing employees is good enough that it isn't needed.

it was very unexpected, i didn't like it at first but by the end i find it an ok video. the tech shown seemed to be, and to be shown as being trivial.

That automatic parking is freaking awesome.

If you can't park, you shouldn't drive.

Well, that's true. What I meant is that how much technology has grown to the point where cars park on by themselves.

well a lot of technology is starting to take over what most car folks love to do: customizing. i mean look, manual transmissions are going the way of the dodo, and they're actually nice. i like being in control of how much power is needed. and all these electronics really make it difficult to work on your car.

Considering it's not on BMW USA's website, no. And we only had one model of the 1 series, the 128 i think.

It might seem random, but are there advance notices somewhere or does LMG do meet ups when they travel places (especially Germany)? I study physics here in Munich and would have been really excited at the opportunity to meet Linus and Nick. Nonetheless, it was super trippy watching my city in the background of the episode!

Grüße aus München! :)

Automatic transmission?

Eeeeew.

Automatic transmissions make any car infinitely less enjoyable to drive.

I got a car a year ago with an automatic and it was so unsatisfying to drive, I actually looked forward to the days I'd have to drive the big, old, beat up moving vans at work because they at least had manuals.

I got a different car after 8 months with a manual and was so happy to have a manual again.

@nicklmg It was a fun watch, but I'm curious, how did they find you? There are many car reviewers that also mention a lot of tech stuff, so it piqued my interest. I know many people will say "Well Youtube, doh" but you know what I mean.  :)

And I don't think the guy was named Linus in reality, usually the employers give you fake work names if you're in call center, customer support or something similar.  :P

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Nice to see you branch out into car tech.  A BMW i3 might have been more interesting as you can get all the same kit in a more future looking package.  As a petrol head there are already way too many channels about cars I can't afford and/or going too fast.  I'd like to see you and Luke take a closer look at the Apple's and Google's in car entertainment offerings.

Would love to see you test the new 'Ludicrous Mode' in a Tesla too
