If you want to game and Edit you may need to go over your limit, For low level editing I would recommend the i5 4690k. For a Bit more performance I would recommend the i7 4790k

just a cpu? xeon 1231v3. better multitasking than a 4690k (way better in  fact) and if you dont overclock the 4690k then the same gaming performance

Why do I feel like you're the same guy that posted the previous 2 threads about a processor under 200 in all caps.

Under 200? Overclock, Gaming and Editting? Your Best bet if you want to Game and Overclock would be the G3258 Pentium for Gaming and OCing, for editting ang gaming, the i3 4170, but you can't overclock it.

H boards are limited to 1600Mhz memory, even using XMP your back to 1600Mhz.

Z boards do not have this limitation.

This is why I have a Z board with my 4690 locked i5, so I can use my 2400Mhz memory.

Something to keep in mind if your buying faster than 1600Mhz memory.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

please stop creating new threads on the same topic, we draw the line at 8 topics for one subject.

afterwards, we'd consider this SPAM! we do not like SPAM.

moved to CPU/Motherboard/RAM subforum.
