Disregard everything I've said. I suddenly remembered that I've had this issue many, many times over. All i did was reinstall the game and it started working again. However, there is this page if that doesnt work, or if you want to try this first

Any error messages? Any dialogs?

When specifically is it crashing? when you enter the world? when it's loading the lobby? when it's loading preferences? when you're dropped onto the map?

That looks like, dare I say, a ram problem? have you had this issue on anything else lately?

And as a backup. this is the most vanilla thing I can possibly do but, Verify integrity of cache through steam. it can surprise you how many problems can be fixed by doing that.

Well, you might have some bad memory then on one of your dims. Which could prove problematic. How many dims do you have on your mobo? and how much ram in total?
