Really, the main difference between them is the size. I'd go for the VG24QE, as 24" is nice for 1080p.

You will see NO difference between 2ms and 1ms.

Im assuming the second on is VG248QE?

I would go with the vg248qe.

with the vg278he, pixellation would be a serious problem with a 27" monitor while still just being 1080p.

LED is a newer version of LCD, but with better energy efficiency.

1ms to 2ms is nothing.

imo 27'' is much better since it covers most of your view but if that monitor is 1080p that could be an issue because the ppi will be low

A difference of 1ms in the response rate is negligible (it's literally 1/1000 of a second so unless you're The Flash, you won't really notice it). Response rates are more about ghosting anyways and 1ms isn't going to make much of a difference.

As for choosing between the two, LCD vs. LED won't make a difference. You should go to the store and see the monitors yourself to get an idea of the visuals. The 24 inch is $100 cheaper but it's obviously smaller and doesn't have the high 144Hz  refresh rate of the 27 inch so I guess it's really up to you. Do you want the larger screen and higher refresh rate or do you want to save some money?

^ What he said. Even if one technology is better than the other, it doesn't necessarily mean that all monitors with X technology will be better than all monitors with Y. For example, when it comes to panels, IPS is considered superior to TN panels but high-end, more expensive TN panels can be much better than cheap IPS panels. Like I've said, you just need to go down to a store and check the display for yourself - or go to the Amazon/Newegg/[Retailer] reviews and read what people have said. You can also check out video reviews of the monitor on YouTube and they can give you an idea of the picture quality if you can't make it to a physical store.

I see that you are fairly new here, and I am just going to give you a bit of (constructive) criticism. (or tips, harassment, or whatever you want to call it)

First, make sure to follow your topics using the button towards the top right of the topic. This will guarantee that replies WILL get sent to your inbox even if people don't tag/quote you.

Second, When replying it is better to quote the person you are replying to rather than tagging them so that they know what post you are replying to. This helps out a lot for really long conversations and people who check the forum to have 20+ notifications every day. (because we all have no life here)

Lastly, I understand that you are the OP and you want the people you are replying to to see your message, but there is no need for such a large font. If you quote the person and use a normal font they will see your message just fine. Using an excessively large font is actually considered spam/trolling in the CoC, which you should actually probably read here: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/95599-linus-tech-tips-forum-code-of-conduct/ a lot of useful information there.

That's it! And welcome to the forum. Sorry if it seems like I was a bit harsh. But, hey. It's better me than a mod. Right? Right? Riiiight? Okay, maybe not.
