Do i need aftermarket case fans for this build?

bnjmnhns

I'm building my first rig and I was wondering if im going to need aftermarket fans or is it going to run just fine with the one fan in the case and the noctua cpu cooler and the gpu cooler.

I'm going to use a Define R5 case.

It shouldn't be needed with the R5. Case fans can always be added later as with your current cooling solution and case shouldn't have a problem.

Depends on room temp but I can say that they won't be overheating. Might be a little warm depending on how restrictive airflow is.

mate if your pushing 400watts of TDP, you will want more airflow

hmm i see but is it a must or can i upgrade to them later will it affect performance right away ?

yeah, you can run without and see if you like the temps/noise level

You're perfectly fine. You may want to add more fans to overclock more, but it won't make a huge difference.

The H440 costs the same and comes with 4 fans pre installed.

But its way more restictive, so it won't perform that much better out of the box, and can't be improved as much.

not really fan of that case sadly i don't really like how the PSU is covered.

Dang that was the selling point for me, I like the ability to pick a power supply based solely on quality and still have it match the color of a build.

yeah i can see that but the psu i chose looks pretty alright imo so the cover is just taking space

Why not sea sonic?

I'm pretty sure it is manufactured by season but marketed by evga or something like that I've been back and forward about it but everyone in this forum seems to say its a pretty good one every time i ask for a PSU recommendation so i just went with it and it looks pretty stealthy i think

The GS series is all made by seasonic.

Here's a website that tells you who makes who.

What's your budget for the PSU?

about 80-90 usd and i would like a 750w or higher for future upgrades

Wait I looked at your parts list.

Why you have 980ti for only a 1080p 60hz moniter?

yup i made up my mind about it after a long time of meditation and budget modifications, I really like the form factor of the 34" ultra wide and the 980ti to not upgrade the GPU in like a lot of time so yeah overkill in some parts of it I know.

In also not a fan of the board, ram and storage you chose.

umm ok i guess, i haven't find anything bad about them in reviews and such so i think they are alright also has like a nice red and black scheme without even trying to have a scheme
