Curved 3440x1440 worth the extra ££?

Hey, so really just looking for opinions from anyone who owns a curved monitor or has used one before.

Here are my options, I've been saving up to get a fresh new 3440x1440 IPS monitor and from what I have found this one is the best for its price: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-106-LG&groupid=17&catid=2907

Now, I was just watching the new UnboxTherapy video that came out today on another LG monitor, it's practically the same as the one above, just a hight adjustable stand (which would be nice) and also the display is curved: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-125-LG

However the price of this monitor is £200 more than the non curved basic stand one.

So because I don't plan on buying another monitor for a long while, would anyone who has used a curved monitor before actually recommend buying it for the extra £200 when all the other specs are essentially the same. (For normal productivity and gaming.)

(Right now I'm leaning much more towards the normal one without the curve, but I'm thinking if curved adds such a price premium there must be something I'm missing?)

Thanks in advance!

If i was going to go for an ultrawide I would go for the curve for the same reason Linus says in his videos. The only thing stopping me buying an ultrawide for gaming is the fact that the games that wont support that aspect ratio wont play nice at all. (Cutscenes taking up a small cube in the center etc...)

I would like to go ultra wide, but for the price of one, I could get two 4K monitors from ASUS, and since I don't really care about color reproduction (Seriously anything is better than the ones I have) it makes sense for 2 4K's rather than ultra wide.

To answer your question, Save that extra cash, it'll be well worth it

Yeah I'm thinking more and more curved when I look at it aha and just watched the video LTT did on the other LG Curved 3440x1440 which is making me want to get this one more, but the extra £200 S:

The price is 100% off-putting, but I'm kind of the opposite, I don't really mind not having 4k, but I'm so used to IPS now that even the ROG Swifts really good TN panel looked a bit off to me  And bezels have always put me off going with multiple screens so the ultra wide is a kind of nice (but not cheap) compromise for me

If you think it's worth the extra € (not sure how to do pounds so euros are close enough.) then it is.

Problem is I don't have a clue if it is or isn't  :D

I've literally never seen a curved ultra wide monitor in person (and stores in the UK are really bad at having high end monitors on display) so not sure how big of a change it is.

I think what I may do is wait a bit, look around for sales/offers/deals on the curved, if it ever gets under £700 I'll pick it up, if not then I'll get the flat one!

(Either way wasn't going to buy it till I get back to uni anyway so waiting isn't an issue thankfully)

There are sites like these that have it for a good price under £700: http://it-supplier.co.uk/lg-34uc87m-b-34-class-diagonal-21-9-curved-ultrawide-monitor-34uc87m-b

But never heard of them before and look at how fuzzy that image is...   So yh not sure if I would trust them with my money

I like the 34UC97 over the 34UC87C. (Stores here in MN are about the same too, Micro Center might be better [i've never been there, though it's not that far away (about 34km)]

Yeah I did like the stand design a lot better on the 34UC97, but only issue is that it doesn't have the hight adjust so I ruled it out :/

They are the same price and everything, but I feel like I'd want the monitor to be on the same level as me if I go with a curved one.
