Looking for the right PSU . Help please .

Hello guys , i have a problem with choosing my Power Supply for my new PC . If you can help me i will be very happy :) Here are the components :

CPU - Intel Core i 5 - 4460

GPU - Asus nVidia GeForce gtx 960 Strix

HDD - WD Blue 1 TB

RAM - Kingston HyperX BEAST 8 GB ( 2 x 4 )

Motherboard - Asrock z97 Killer

I have a similar build to yours and the evga 500w works great for me.

Any 500W PSU from a reputable brand would suffice.

Seasonic S or M12II 520W. Antec High Power Gamer 520W is the same PSU for a lot more money.

Although I do agree that the M12II is the better deal, I fail to see how $2 is a lot more money.

 

Once again, either of them will be destroyed for the price by the EVGA 550GS.

this is MY philosophy when it comes to psu's.... GET THE LARGEST PSU YOU CAN AFFORD AND FITS IN YOUR CASE.... my reasoning... even if your system is only going to draw say 500 watts max... get a 1000watt psu like the RM1000 (which is what i have), because your running so little power draw the PSU will NEVER get hot thus helping your system stay cooler and more quiet... on the RM1000 the fan doesn't even turn on until im drawing 400watts of power and even then is still silent.

RM1000 is a mediocre PSU
