That's in inline sensor but I don't know the Ohms on it but it should work, I would contact them to make sure it's a 10K thermistor.

Every other sensor they have is marked as 10K, so it would be strange if this one is not 10K.

Also, other sites has it listed as 10K: http://www.ebuyer.com/661476-phobya-temperature-sensor-in-outer-thread-g1-4-71170

Thats good, since its more or less half price of the other solution.

With a plug sensor so do I need a splitter of some kind and a male-male fitting, since I got no where to plug it in.

Ideally if you have a drain or attachment near the res would be perfect but if you need to place it inline it could be done with an adapter like this to attach a tubing fitting:

Or this kind of sensor here:

Why do I need that? The Phobya one is an inline one and dont need any extra fittings.

Oh if your directly connecting it to another then you don't need it I was assuming you wanted to attach it in the middle of a piece of tubing.

I'm doing no fitting hard tubing style, so that would have looked strange.

I think I will just put it on the outlet or inlet of the reservoir.
