Wondering if I have a bad mount with a Noctua NH-D14

PhiberOptik

I am using a old but faithful Notcua NH-D14 on a i7 970 @ 191x21 @ 1.296v currently my temperatures while folding on a gtx 780 and CPU are 70,70,65,67,73,71 max. The temps are very similar in OCCT while just stressing the CPU. Does it sound like I have a bad mount?

I don't think those sound rediculous, but I'm not really acomidated with the first gen intel stuff, my 4790k runs a bit hotter while folding but it's 1.22V @ 4.5GHz and paired with an R9 290 in a node 804, so there is a lot of heat in the case I suppose.

CPU:  Intel i7-4790K      Cooler:  Noctua NH-D14     GPU: ZOTAC GTX 1070 TI MINI     Motherboard:  ASUS Z97 Gryphon     RAM:  32GB G Skill Trident X

Storage: 2x 512GB Samsung 850 EVO (RAID 0) / 2TB Seagate Barracuda     PSU: 850W EVGA SuperNova G2     Case: Fractal Design Node 804

Your mount is fine, its pretty much impossible to have a bad mount with the D14.

Idk the exact speed but it's plugged into the Y-splitter and then into the motherboard so 12v I'm assuming. I've seen a i7 920 200x20 1.35v 68c in p95
and i7 970 200x20 1.225v-1.244v 65c in p95 both with the nh-d14. So far it's been hard for me to find relatable results that's the most helpful ones I have found so far.

Edit: I applied the cooler by spreading the thermal compound on the CPU myself. Hindsight I know this isn't advised. HWMonitor is reporting CPU Fan speed as 1333rpm.

So I guess no one has any thoughts on it?

Edit: It was indeed a bad mount. Remounting it dropped temps by 13c. Grouped temps closer together. New max temp is 60c.
