GTA V err_gfx_d3d_init

AStateOfTrance

Hey guy's.

I'm getting this really odd error with GTA V. The game will randomly kick me out with that error message. It can either be 5 minutes into the game or 2 hours. All of my drivers are upgraded. I've checked google but I can't find a real fix for the problem. Have any of you encountered this?

Its a stability issue for which a patch was never made to resolve. The method most people have used in success to avoid the crashing, is to set the game to run in DX10/10.1 mode and disable any sort of overlay programs (like the MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner OSD fps counter)

I have the same issue and its annoying. I refuse to switch to DX10 and/or turn off my Afterburner overlay. I deem it an unacceptable measure when the vast majority of other games don't have the same problem.

Wouldn't turning it down to DX10 lower the graphics aswell? Fuck that
