Does anyone have any input on the air 240

Building a pc

Want to know the Input on this case

Or perhaps the build

Hey buddy!

I have the same case. Here is my part list which I used (and fit everything into) haha

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/b/f2TH99

I originally wanted that MSI 970, however it is actually too tall to fit in the case that it will be pushing up against the side window (Same with the asus strix 970)

That being said I am very happy with the G1 gaming 970.

The only issue with my 970 is it is very long so I couldnt fit a H100i properly, so a H80i is what I went with and that should be also fine for your CPU (Which does amazing stuff for my i7 4790K)

I love the case, you just have to do a good amount of research to make sure all your parts will fit correctly!

My Rigs:

Gaming/CAD/Rendering Rig
Case:
Corsair Air 240 , CPU: i7-4790K, Mobo: ASUS Gryphon Z97 mATX,  GPU: Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970, RAM: G.Skill Sniper 16GB, SSD: SAMSUNG 1TB 840 EVO, Cooling: Corsair H80i PCPP: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/b/f2TH99SFF HTPC

If you don't mind me asking.. Why didn't you turn the cooler around instead the h100i

A

Instead of the second fan on top

Gonna have to re-phrase that one, not sure what you mean haha.

I said I couldnt fit the h100i because my g1 was too long though.

And yes you can put that MSI GPU in but I can guarantee those heat pipes are touching/pushing on the side window.

Did you even read what it says on there lmao "the heat pipes on the 970 were stopping me from closing the side panel."

I never meant it as you Cant fit it in that case, In my particular situation I couldnt fit it, and if it did fit even very tightly, it would be blowing warmer air onto my GPU which I wouldnt want as the H80i does everything I need anyway :P It was more about the clearance between the end of the GPU and the heatsink rather than orienting the pipes.

I did a LOT of dimensions and sizing for this case as I wanted it very badly.

People had said the Asus can almost fit, but the heatpipes will be touching the side panel which is acrylic and can become warped after a long time of this kind of exposure.

I chose the H80i for its smaller size AIO cooler which had good reviews, and the fact it had the RGB LED on the CPU block.

I honestly havent looked into them with regards to the case because at the time when I built it, there was a factory issue with heatpipes sometimes not being correctly aligned with them so I avoided them but apparently theyre all good now, but I didnt test sizes. Probably just compare its dimensions to the MSI/ASUS/Gigabyte cards to get an idea of its size

Just did some research and the EVGA GTX970 will fit nicely and you will also be able to fit a H100i with it :)

Looks like a good build dude!

Heres some builds which use the same case, evag gtx 970 and some have h100i in them too: http://pcpartpicker.com/builds/by_part/evga-video-card-04gp42978kr#e=766

Thank you!

I used thisw case as my first ever pc build. I had only ever opened a pc once yet this case was very easy to build in. Also cable management was a snap with all of the rubber grommets.
