Good Ultrawide?

iamdarkyoshi

I am getting (hopefully) an ultrawide to replace my three syncmaster 204b monitors that I just sold. I am thinking of one with at least a screen size of 32in. I am used to having plenty of screen real estate before so I want one of decent size. I do not have a budget right now (as I am trying to figure out something good) but I would say it has to be under 1000 bucks.

I have the lg34um95 and I LOVE it.

I've only had it for about 2 days, but it is epic. A subtle curve would have been nice, but I don't really have anything to compare it to. It is my first UW, first 1440p etc.

Hm, if i were you id probably get that 34um67 and put those 8gigs of vram to work by using lots of heavy VSR (amd`s multisampling) to squeeze multisampled 5120x2160 in that 2560x1080 space, which MIGHT make it look close to what real 3440x1440 would look like.  I dont know about this though, havnt tried  it myself.

It is a fucking shame that the 3440x1440 ones are still so expensive.

it will be atleast a month or two before I get paid from my parents for helping prepare the house for selling, and then once they get enough to pay me, then I can buy things.

Gotta keep gaming on that derpy old envision 1680x1050 with a dead pixel xD

I've had the LG 34um95 for a few months now and really love it.  I sit a little close to my desk though because after we had our baby my "office: kinda got pushed into the kitchen so a subtle curve would be nice.  A buddy of mine might buy this one off of me fore about $600 though so if he does I am definitely going to upgrade.

If you sit further than one foot away from your desk I really don't think you'd need to spend extra money on a curved panel.  That's just my opinion.
