Rechargeable batteries for xbox 360

Go to solution Solved by Kyuubixchidori,

Hey all, I was wondering if i bought a play and charge cable for the xbox 360 controller, and plugged it in while I had some enloop rechargeable batteries in the stock AA battery cover (not the solid rechargeable battery), would it recharge the AA batteries? I'm not sure if it will since the AA battery pack uses different connections than the rechargeable battery pack. I need to know because i'm setting up an 8 player system link setup, so i need to have 8 wireless controllers but I don't want to spend a fortune on OEM xbox 360 play and charge kits only to have the battery pack die after a few months like my personal one did. and since we're gonna have a lot of people, I don't want permanently wired controllers. Thanks in advance for your help.

I highly doubt that would work mate.

I have rechargeable OEM batteries that are pushing 4 years. no idea how they still are alive.

I figured it wouldn't since they use different contacts for battery packs vs AA batteries. Guess i'll just have to get a couple packs of eneloops with chargers and threaten to kill anyone if they lose them. haha. Thanks for your help.
