Does 4k reduce eye fatigue?

Hey guys, Does using a 1440p or 4k monitor help reduce eye fatigue?
Im not well versed in display, pixle pitch and so on, would be nice to get some advice.

Im currently using a LG29um65 and was thinking of upgrading to a 4k panel later this year.

Thanks in advance for all the info.

no. using low blue light displays with no flickering does.

SNIP

Technically yes, a high resolution means less pixelation which is better on your eyes

however high resolution = small text on screen = eye strain

something like apples "retina" or 4k Scaled to 1080p for example would be best for the eyes, as on screen text remains the same size, but is higher fidelity

However eye fatigue is also to due with blue light, flickering displays, display distance etc etc etc

turn your contrast gamma down if that dosen't work turn your brightness down

Its already at the lowest with flux on. Its just annoying that i can see the jaggedness of the texts even when sitting 85cm away

In short no, most eye fatigue comes from the blue light of the panel, resolution doesn't really affect it. If the panel is a bad TN and it's fuzzy it can but a LG 29um65 is IPS so that's not the problem.  Try using F.Lux.

does it mean higher refresh rate monitor with less blues will be better even if the flicker isnt visible?

Im already using flux. brightness is lowest.

I know watching videos on the nexus 7 2013 is much better on my eyes than the 2012 model.

i know right, looking at my phone screen(lg g3) feels much more pleasing to the eyes

I dont think anything beyond 320dpi is worth using extra battery to render video...

So i guess for me/my eyes a 4k display with less contrast and less blues and high refresh rate will be the best?

For some wierd reason my wallet is crawling away right now..

Yes but bear in mind 4k, in windows is a bit shitty since it scales everything tiny, so you have to use like 150% scaling, otherwise text is tiny

Especially on 27" and below displays

It shouldnt do

Perhaps you need an eye test

Haha, yeah i already did i have a slight 0.5 on one eye diopter correction needed but thats all he said. Had my eyes checked twice actually. Same diagnosis. Im just normally just very sensitive to things.

maybe those glasses were crappy. i can wear glases made for someone else and it probably hurts less that that wierd gaming glasses that had scratches on it from the box

correction needed means you need glasses.
