what changes would you make

My GPU Recently failed and I'm saving money for a high end PC however I can spare some of the budget for a small micro ATX build for travel purposes and not take up much space in a separate room. Is there a better GPU at this price point as with this PC I WILL NOT be playing high demanding games regularly mainly League of Legends, L4d2, some mmorps at 720p most likely. I will also be reusing some old parts such as the CPU.

What do you currently have working, and what's your budget and location?

Get an AMD APU.

Pros:

Cheap (generally)

Plays the games you play at 720p with 60fps easily

Don't take very much power

They can crossfire with newer AMD GPUs

Cons:

They run hot.

They require high bandwith memory

If I think of anything else I will edit it in

over 9000 stream cores

My HD 6950 failed but my board is z77sabertooth ATX with a full tower HAF case so its not the most portable of cases the ram is still good but its red, and I want this color scheme to be green and the PSU is 1000w so I will not use that with this build and will save it for the 980ti to leave room for SLI as well  i dont want to spend a lot on this build because it is for light gaming so around 600$

again i will be reusing my cpu from my last build  however if i did not own this cpu i would definitely go the AMD route. and because the board here is used its cheap if I went for new i would also consider the Amd route

Well a REALLY temporary solution would the the 7770. It was a solid card back in 2012.

AMD A10-7850k about 129.99                             http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113359&cm_re=AMD_APU-_-19-113-359-_-Product

Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-H about 48.99               http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128763&cm_re=fm2-_-13-128-763-_-Product

EVGA 100-W1-500-KR 500w about 44.99            http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438016&cm_re=500w_power_supply-_-17-438-016-_-Product

G. Skill Ripjaws 2x4GB about 58.99                    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231654&cm_re=2133_8GB_of_ram-_-20-231-654-_-Product

Total: about 290$

The motherboard is a micro ATX motherboard so you will need to get a Micro ATX case and put your storage devices in and there is a full system and if you add a newer amd graphics card it can crossfire with the APU, I think even the new Fury X has the ability to work alongside the APU.

The 7770 is still a REALLY good card, I have a friend who has two and he is driving 2 1080p monitors with no problems on high end games

Just get a decent GPU for a great price preferably within your budget (what is your budget?)

Since your budget is 600$ you should get a 980 ti, LTT's performance per dollar chart in their benchmarks make it look like a really big bang for the buck

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500378&cm_re=980_ti-_-14-500-378-_-Product

This one is on sale for 649.99 and it is 49$ over your budget so if you can squeeze in 49$ it should last you a long time, but since you said your at 720p you could get a 970 and buy a 1080p monitor.

I'M SO SORRY i forgot to link the build I'm so dumb http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GjYRxr and i will be picking up a 980ti for my main gaming system which is what i'm saving up for but as for  a temporary solution I will be going witha micro atx solution thats portable to take where I please. EDIT: the 600 budget is for the micro atx build all together

this build is simply for some light gaming with some more demanding titles not anything too demanding as that wil be left for the 2-3k pc im saving for I'm around 800 dollars right now so i would set back my budget but hopefully ddr4 and x99 platforms will drop in price byt he time i get there and am also waiting for the cooler master master case 5 in august for that rig as well

damn since its around that time that replies start dying down I might have to make a new post sometime tomorrow, sorry for wasting your time and thank youfor the responses, i wil appreciate anything else mentioned regardless.

For the games you play the APU should drive them easily at 120hz 720p

just keep in mind you need the high bandwith memory to get good performance from the APU (sweet spot for this is 2133)

also drop down to the 500W power supply, the 550W would be overkill for the APU

Throw in a 1TB WD Blue for some games, the 120GB SSD may not hold all of them
