VESA mount monitor with no VESA mount ideas?

Hey guys,
I have an Acer 23" thin bezel monitor and basically it doesn't have a VESA mount but I'd like to mount it to an arm.

Anyone have any ideas or solutions?

Thanks!

Not sure if there are any other adapters since I couldn't find any other than this. Check to see if your model is compatible. http://www.amazon.com/VESA-Mount-Adapter-Bracket-Monitors/dp/B00UUMANH8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1436165442&sr=8-1&keywords=acer+vesa+adapter&pebp=1436165447127&perid=1A4682A23580GP39R0RP

Other than that it might have to be a DIY solution.

I didn't even think to look for that, didn't think something like that existed

Cheers dude!

I'll see if I can source one is Australia *sigh*

I might actually mix all the solutions together, I'm thinking I'll just create the same thing as the adapter sold on ebay for my monitor.

I'll keep everyone posted.

I know that the company 3M has a really strong double sided tape (you can practically tape a car to the ceiling). Maybe you should check that out.

Be prepared, the monitor will be stuck to the mount.

See my only thing with that is I'm not sure that the housing of the monitor will hold.

That's the only thing that would stop me from just straight up drilling holes into it, is I don't think the rear panel is structurally capable of reliably holding up the weight of the monitor.

If you're handy enough then maybe you could build something out of wood that clamps the monitor into place and just drill vesa-holes in the wooden panel.

Take the back panel off, drill holes, put some nuts and bolts through etc.

Profit

I've heard of many people using industrial grade velcro/epoxy and aluminium sheets to create ghetto VESA mounts. you'll be surprised at how non-ghetto it can look if you cut carefully. Be creative with it, there's many ways to go about it.

Sorry for the late response!

I can think of many ways to mount it to the back and how visually ghetto it is doesn't bother me too much, but what concerns me is the rear panel of the monitor probably isn't designed to hold the weight, which is why stand adapters work because the stand is structurally designed to hold the weight. So basically I don't feel it's unlikely that the rear panel will break itself off.

Thanks!

Saw this awhile back, this is one method of doing it if your monitor complies:

Dude thanks! I think I'm probably going to do something just like this.

Cheers man!
