Should i drop the windows 8.1 resolution to 1080p on a 4k 15" laptop?

David Pro

I have a GS60 2QE Ghost Pro 4K! I am running windows 8.1 and on 4k resolution scaling is shit! I have scaled fonts to 250%!!! Please suggest me proper Config for display!

Would there be a difference in video quality if i run 4k video on a 4k laptop v/s dropping the resolution of a 4k monitor to 1080p to avoid scaling issues and then playing the same 4k video???

Sure drop it to 1080p, but if you want full res 4K video you'll have to turn it back up whenever you want to view them

Would drop it to 1080 if it has the same aspect ratio, if not I would drop it even lower. Your CPU can probably run 4K just fine.

BTW Windows 10 Pro Build 10162 - Chrome scales properly. But not apps like razer synaps and logitech gaming center.
