Bitfenix Spectre Pro 200mm Fix/Mod

My fan (Bitfenix spectre pro) just broke off one blade and I now want to glue it back in place!

The problem is that i can't really hold it in place anyway, so I do need to disassemble that fan by detaching the blades from the casing!

At its back there is a rubber nobb which reviels this:

What do I now need to do to detach the blades?

Any specific things that would make the repair alot easier?

Would you recommend any glue?

Please let my know!

As said it is highly suggested that you replace the fan but to remove the fan blades you just need to go and remove the plastic clip in the photo with the bearing and shaft. Don't break or lose that clip or you won't be able to reinstall it.

You probably know that buying a new fan is easier, but there is probably a reason you want to fix it.

I would start by sanding each edge just enough to rough it up. Then use mineral spirits or iso alcohol to clean each edge. Then use some glue of some kind and hold it exactly in place as the glue sets then let dry for however long the glue says. If you're finicky about perfection you can also sand the edge after the glue dries to get rid of any extra glue. But that's shearling for looks as it wouldn't affect performance in any noticeable way.

I am whatever I am.
