I dont know what GPU to get. The R9 280 or R9 285. Which one is better?

Think of the "x" as a slight increase in specs.

An r9 290 is the same as an HD 7950

And

An r9 290x is the same as an HD 7970

They are literally the same chip in those cards lol

But we're talking about the 280x and the 285 here, which are kinda different...

Sig under construction.

The 285 is slower but consumes a lot less power per performance.
The 280X is a AMD Rebrand card...  This says something about how fast AMD once was  (I have a review of a 7950 from mid 2012)

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

No, no, no! That's plain false!

An r9 280x is a 7970

An r9 280 is a 7950.

R9 290s and 290Xs are NOT 7000 series rebrands.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Oh, whoops. I got my numbers mixed up. Thanks for correcting me. I owned an HD 7970 that was flashed to an r9 280x.
