Blurry Youtube Gaming Videos

Djwhitfield

Hi!

Thank you very much in advance for taking the time to read.

I want to start uploading some footage of some video games onto my second youtube channel.

However I been messing around with loads of different render settings for Sony Vegas and I have not found a solution to some blurring on my videos.

I record with Dxtory at 1080p 60FPS using Lagarith Lossless Codec.

I played Payday 2 just for some test footage.

I have watched other peoples footage on Payday 2 and seen people with either the same problem or not at all.

here is a like to two examples:

Heres my video notice at about 0:19-0:20 is one of the blur points, look at where it says "detected" (Just skip to any gameplay):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDqKFVP7KlY

Increased Bitrate to 50,000. No improvement at all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjh9_XSgypY

Where there is blurring (Just skip to any gameplay):

Where there is no blurring (Just skip to any gameplay):

Gopher explains the problem:

All of them have blurring and I honestly can't find a solution. I would very much appricate your help!

Thank you again!

Really?

You don't notice the bluring? My friend says its not that bad but I think its terrible.

In the raw footage recorded from Dxtory there is not blurring, in the rended Sony Vegas footage its very very slightly blurrly.

But once its uploaded to Youtube its bad.

In my videos (Which I'm not allowed to advertise) You can see it every few seconds.

If you watch Gophers videos its very noticeabled. Thats the problem I'm having.

But in GeneralMcBadAss its completely clear.

Also thanks for your reply.

also Youtube screws up the quality,

try to increase the bitrate before rendering the video and see if thats it

Ignore the bell ends, they're quick to tell you that it's against coc even though what they are doing (back seat moderating) is against coc.

Sometimes, although for me not this time it takes about 1 minute for the video to actually go to 1080p.

what browser do you use? I use chrome.

Thank you! Finally that nice people are coming ahaha!

I'm using Firefox. Maybe that is a factor to concider. I'm uploading in 50,000 bit rate now. But apparantly thats just overkill. Will see what happens.

Try chrome. The video was completely fin for me. No problems at all.

Also maybe try clearing your browsing data?

Sometimes my browser does some weird shit to me which refuses to work until I clear browsing data.

I see now. Yeah it does blur at that point.

I don't think that's to do with our browsers then.

Ok so to me Chrome has not fixed it. After this new video at 50,000 bit has uploaded I will clear browser data and see if that helps at all.

Yeah once you posted the time stamp I seen it, although it happens so quick it's hardly noticeable.

When the video is rendered with Sony Vegas and I have the video file I watch it in VLC and have no such issues. Its only when uploaded to Youtube does this blurring happen. It happens in Gopher's video too, but not in GeneralMcBadAss's video.

Can't really tell if you have a blur with your video because of the 720p.

Did the browser clear. Nothing. Added few new videos to OP.

Gopher explains the issue, but I don't know if he found a solution.

You mean how the red text gets blurry on your first video?

There's nothing you can do, red always compresses pretty bad.

YouTube has to deal with 300h of footage which is uploaded every minute.

Thus you can't expect cutting edge video encoding like you know it from Netflix...
