Cheap LCD IPS screen? 1080p 85Hz+ & in Australia

Dabombinable

At the moment I'm running my 1080p 60Hz TN screen (LG 24EN43) as my primary for the amount I can fit on the screen, and my old LCD monitor (Hicon screen that also doubles as a TV-it has AV in, Svideo, antenna socket, VGA, PC audio in, audio out) beside it with a DVI/VGA adapter and a cheap VGA cable (I lost my good one several years ago when moving house), and I'm TBH stunned again at just how much better the colours are in comparison and how much smoother games are on it. What would be a good 1080p IPS 85Hz screen to get, or what should I keep an eye out for?

[edit]Screens with a matte panel (non reflective), would also be preferred[/edit]

Just to be clear I don't want to get a 2K or 4K high refresh rate monitor as I've only got an i5 4440, Asus H87M-Pro and a GTX 970 G1. Plus I only upgraded from my old monitor to the screen at the start of last year.

That's only 60Hz though. I'm looking for a higher refresh rate (85Hz+) along with an IPS panel.

Higher than 60Hz with IPS will not be cheap though.

For the price difference of 60 to 85Hz you wont notice anything, youll really see the difference if you go big change like 144Hz

I'm noticing the difference right now, half life 2 on the monitor, Portal 1 on the screen.

I have them running in windowed mode on separate displays-half life 2 looks and feels a lot smoother on the monitor than portal 2 on the screen.

Thats because you have them side by side....

Then why not just get the same monitor to match the one you currently have? Or does it have to be IPS?

IPS and over 60hz isn't cheap..

You could buy a 60hz panel and just try to overclock it.

It has to be IPS for the colour quality.

As I said before 'cheap for 85Hz+ 1080p IPS'. And I honestly don't see why they are so expensive. My IPS monitor only cost $300 new in 2003/2004 (I can't remember the exact date, but I can remember the exact price).

Its probably due to IPS becoming more popular and companies knowing with "gamers" wanting higher Hz that they could charge more for their panels.

What are some 60Hz screens that you could recommend? I managed to squeeze better colour out of my current TN panel (its still not as good as my old screen however), and 70Hz seems to be the highest possible overclock  :(.

Edit: The BenQ posted by @Noco is a possibility if I can find it at a decent price, though I don't know how it well it would overclock: http://www.pccasegea...7807&cPath=1090

Edit 2: Just managed 74Hz using the Nvidia control panel instead of CRU.

I have my trusty old Dell U2312HM overclocked to 75Hz without any frame skipping. But its a few years old and today you should be looking at the U2414H. If you're in an absolute pinch you could go for the cheaper S2415H. Its essentially the same panel with sexy slim bezel, except without the fancy stand and has much more limited input options (VGA and HDMI only). Also its glossy and has built in speakers.

I'm considering getting the U2414H myself.

That Benq VZ2350HM looks interesting as well, with advertised 5ms G2G response time (although there doesn't seem to be a review on it)

Also have a look at the Acer H236HLbid. Unfortunately the Benq and Acer models are unavailable where I live.

So the U2414H has a matte screen? Because I really find reflections on the screen irritating (I should add that to the OP).
