I am christian, can't be bothered about religion.

You belive what you want to belive but i don't need any of that.

I'm fine with whatever as long as it doesn't hurt anybody and they leave me alone.

I consider myself an atheist and a rationalist and as a result, I am skeptical of all religion.

Why does religion still exist?

No, don't hate people because they are different.

No, don't hate animals because they are different (eat them equally)

don

Religion exists because people are okay with believing in delusions.

Atheist.

Don't care about religion much (have religious friends), but don't try to convert me. Don't try to make me believe what you believe, etc.

And please, don't influence school (making them not teach about evolution and stuff <- extreme example)

Everyon has their own beliefs

i dont have a problem with people expressing their beliefs but please dont force it on other people

i hate when religious people try to tell you your beliefs are wrong and theirs is right

At the end of the day , i believe that every religion started with a story book that was taken too seriously , i mean there is a "religion" around twilight lol

That is my Belief , and my opinion

On another note , at some point this thread will get locked down by mods , we dont need religious arguments about whats wrong and whats right , there is always 1 person who says everyone else is wrong and thats how wars happen

you think of any War that has ever happened , religion is always the cause

Have a good day :)

Does evil exist?

The university professor challenged his students with this question. Did God create everything that exists? A student bravely replied, "Yes, he did!"

"God created everything? The professor asked.

"Yes sir", the student replied.

The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are then God is evil". The student became quiet before such an answer. The professor was quite pleased with himself and boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question professor?"

"Of course", replied the professor.

The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"

"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?" The students snickered at the young man's question.

The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."

The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"

The professor responded, "Of course it does."

The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"

Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."

To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

The professor sat down.

The young man's name — Albert Einstein.

I really don't think this is something that needs to be talked about.

It causes arguments and problems because a lot of people can't openly talk about religion.

It's a sensitive topic for many people, and it is hard to talk about it in this world without judgement.

I think everyone is more than welcome to have his or her own opinions and views-- to each his own.

However, a lot of people don't see things that way.

With that being said, happy gaming! :)

I go to a Catholic High School - not fun  Priest  - "Would you have helped Jesus with his cross? I wasn't there. I am here now, remembering" Me thinking - "How can I remember something that I wasn't at especially if it happened 2000 years ago?"

No. I'd say I'm okay with it, but I've seen too many examples of people becoming the victim of others acting on their religious beliefs to be okay with it.

I went to a Christian (I dunno, is that Catholic or Protestant?) elementary school and really, that made my hate religion.

They just acted as if those stories were true and all that stuff.. I feel like time was just wasted telling these stories..

At least my parents were (and are) not religious, so nothing was forced that much :D

Proud Christian. I'm a Christian not because anybody told me to be, but because Jesus has helped me cope with a lot with a past. It's hard to imagine living without it at this point honestly.

What about the people that don't get help when they also need it? People dying of diseases, committing suicide, starving, etc. Is your god picking and choosing who he decides to help?

I have no respect for religions. They are responsible for so much shit in the world, that we would be much better off without them. On the other hand we have peolple's beliefs. These are alright because they are personal. Who am I to tell you what to believe in? What we don't need are some bullshit clubs that tell people what to believe in.
