HELP PLEASE!

Greg_titan

Hi everyone, I´m having problems with my old pc (HP Pavilion t780). Yesterday I was running the antivirus and finally it asked for a reboot when it finished. Then, while restarting it suddenly locked itself, and the screen that says: "WINDOWS IS STARTING UP..." remained fixed the whole time and nothing happens. So I just unpluged the pc, and powered it on again, but the same bug occurs over and over again. CAN ANYONE SUGGEST ME WHAT TO DO? I do not want to lose my hard drive files.

You might have to reinstall, do you have another computer? you could put the harddrive in that and backup stuff you need.

Boot, hold/smash F8 after POST splash screen and do system recovery or startup recovery. If they don't do anything, its reinstall time. (Did that yesterday...)
