Would this bottleneck?

So i've finally managed to build my pc (Signature) aaaaaand, Instead of going with a 580/960, I've seen powercolor's R9 390 8GB GDDR5, Would this by any chance bottleneck with my Pentium G3258 OC'd to 4.8GHZ? Would it just kill it, or would i not be half bad, i've seen R9 290's run with these before.

Yeah, it would bottleneck a lot actually because dual core.

For a 290 (or really anything about a 280) I would go a i5 4440 at least

A Pentium will bottleneck pretty much any game that "uses" more than a single core. Which are growing rapidly. It'll run, but don't be disappointed when Farcry 4 and GTA5 tell you to eat a bag of dicks.

Agreed. My i3 4160 wasn't enough to power a 780Ti sufficiently, go for the quad core.

Ok, i'll stick with putting a 960 Into it, until i upgrade the CPU (Planning on a 4690K in the future)

Fair enough, i'll be upgrading soon to a 4690K Anyway, it's my first build, i've been suffering with a skrubtop for a while, which is an i3 3110M/6GBRAM/4000 Graphics...

I'm not planning on running everything ULTRA Anyway, just it's my first PC, i'll be upgrading, as i've had to do it on whatever I could afford Right now. a 960 With it shouldn't do harm anyway. I'll be ok. i'll learn from what i play.

It isn't about running it on Ultra. It's just bare minimums the game "needs".

I'll see what plays out well, I'm using it as for now, I've been destined to get off my laptop and onto a PC, I play stuff like (Insurgency, TF2, CS:GO, GMOD) And a few others, I'll learn my limit's when im in game.

I got playable performance with my i3, but when putting the 780Ti in my i5 work PC, the difference was amazing.

Upgrading slowly is a fun thing to do - it's what I did.
