Best blower gtx 970?

Skyway
Looking for the best blower 970.  I have a very small case and I need to exhaust the heat out of the back so blower is my only option.   RIght now I'm running an msi 270x which throws all the heat back in the case.  Not a bad gpu for the price, just not cutting it in terms of performance or thermals for my particular situation.

So the two 970's I have been looking at are the

Nvidia reference 970 (best buy has it on sale right now for $329)

And the Asus Turbo 970 ($352 on Amazon)

So what do you guys think?  Should I be looking at PNY or MSI blowers too?  I'm personally leaning toward the Turbo because of the dual intake fan, which I think would be perfect in my case.  I'm not too worried about overclocking potential, coming from a 270x I'm just happy to be getting a 970.  I realize the best 970 is the gigabyte G1 gaming but it's too long and won't fit in my case.  I also understand that blowers are going to run hotter than an open air cooler, I'm really just trying to get my internal case temps down.

Any and all help is appreciated.  Thanks!

ASUS Turbo imo.

Yea that's what I'm thinking too

EVGA has one.

Yea my brother has one and I guess I just wanted something different.  He hasn't had any problems with it though, runs cool, is quiet, and he plays his occulus with it and it handles it perfectly.

I know right?  My rig is actually black and red, but I really like the look of the Turbo.

If the evga one works good for your brother then get it.

And the side you will actually see from outside your case with the ASUS turbo looks like shit, mainly because they tried to half ass a backplate.

I wish they put a silver or white back plate on the turbo or at least made one available

Yea I could get the evga, but like I said I wanted something different.  I think the dual intake fan would be perfect in my case.  I'm not too hung up on aesthetics either, if it really bothers me I can paint the back of the fan shroud black and I would never see the front.  My case is an Asrock M8 and the graphics card is parallel to the motherboard via a riser card.  There is also a metal bracket that the gpu sits in that would hide the pcb as well, about the only thing you would see is the back of the white fan shroud.

I have heard of people who have had a custom backplate made for it, so it is possible

Well, just in case someone stumbles across this thread and is in the same boat as me, I will give a little update.

I went ahead and bought the Asus Turbo 970.  I received it today around noon and I've had a couple hours to play with it.  I ran some stress tests and benchmarks and it has far exceeded my expectations.  It idles at 35 and with a full load sits at a rock solid comfortable 70C.

The fan is completely tolerable at idle and even ramped up a bit it goes unnoticed to me.  At full speed I will say that it is loud, however it's not as harsh of a fan sound as my 270x fan's, it's more of an air movement noise (whooshing) than fan noise.  The 270x had a lot more fan noise than air movement noise at full load but it was a tad quieter than the Turbo.  I also keep my side cover off all the time and my rig is on my desk very close to me, so sound was a crucial factor for me.

All in all, I am very satisfied by the noise and especially the performance, I am really happy with this purchase.  I would highly recommend this card to anyone looking for a blower 970.  I will test it out further tonight and after a couple of days I will come back with another update.  I am also going to be overclocking it so I will report back with my specs as well.
