Computer freezes/shuts down streaming video

Hey guys, I have a little niggle with my PC at the mo. Its running 99.9% apart from the issue in the title its very annoying!

 

The problem:

-PC freezes when streaming video online.

-After my new GTX970 install the issue has now turned into full shut down. (previous was gtx590 with latest driver)

 

How it happens:

-Watching Netflix (rarely but has happened)

-YouTube (also rare but happen)

-websites with videojs (rare)

-websites using JWPlayer (EVERY time.)

 

Tried:

-Reinstalling flash

-Reinstalling Chrome

-Tried IE and it seems ok (unbelievably)

-Turned off HW acceleration

-Event log doesnt show much but a broken socket error

 

So it seems to be a issue with Chrome + possible graphics driver?

A bad driver should not cause this kind of problem.Can we see some temps under load?

Beware of him that is slow to anger; for when it is long coming, it is the stronger when it comes, and the longer kept. Abused patience turns to fury.

Yes, there is a nvidia hotfix driver out for it if you have that problem (if it's actually caused by that ofc): http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3694/~/geforce-hotfix-driver-353.38

Temps under load watching video?

Anyways CPU sub 60c and gfx sub 80c on 100% load.
