Should I get dual 290Xs or a single 980 ti for triple 1440p setup?

290Xs would be better but power consumption may be problematic...

If you dont push the texture settings/ aa the 4gb on the 290x should be enough (390 would help, with its 8gb of vram), and if scaling is good, 2 290x's should outperform a single 980 ti

290x is better if you dont care about how much power it will draw but some games dont scale well with SLI/Crossfire so id go for the 980TI

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
