would like some assistens with building a gaming PC

Tyraxz

I've put together a parts list for a PC build, but I'm not too sure if everything is compatible or if i will have enough cooling. sorry for the "noob" question, I just want to be 100% sure it'll work....

My PC will be for gaming, (mostly games such as WoW, DayZ, Mineraft and Battlefield) my budget is $4000, AUD.

This is my list(I already have the peripherals) Thanks.  :D

Looks good to me, change the CPU for a 4790K, and if you can.. maybe try get a bigger SSD :D but that really depends on what you are storing, i mean BF4 + Hardline for me take up like over 100gb of SSD space alone

@Tyraxz please follow your own topics

Don't get a locked CPU with a Z97 motherboard. Get a H97 motherboard or a i7 4790k (the k means unlocked).

Also get the Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD, it will safe you 20 bucks.

  1. Go for a 4790K so you can overclock.
  2. Go with an EVGA PSU (much cheaper with same performance)
  3. Don't get an OEM of the OS.
  4. Where's the monitor?
  5. Don't need a GTX 980 for minecraft and battlefield :P
  6. 7. Don't need to spend $4000 AUD to play such low end games...

Seriously, don't need such high end stuff to play such simple games. I can run all of those games pretty well on my shitty HP laptop with an AMD A4-4000...

I didn't ask you how you got the monitor. I said you don't need such a high-end PC for those games. Maybe turn the budget down to $2000?

I'm not going to buy a new monitor when i have a perfectly good one. I've taken on a much cheaper build.
