Hyper 212 Evo vs. be quiet! BK002 Shadow Rock

Hi,

I'm looking into air cooler's for my cpu to replace the stock one as it's not a cooler and it's louder than a convoy of american muscles cars. So i'm torn between the Hyper 212 Evo and the be quiet! Shadow rock, I have a intel i5-4440 if that helps. I would like it to be quiet but effective.

Thanks :)

If your case can fit it, definitely go for the Hyper 212

The shadow rock should be quieter, but not perform as well. It has a better fan, but the 212 has a thicker heatsink. The shadow rock slim is more similar to the 212, and would be better.

Not sure about Shadow Rock but Shadow Rock 2 will easily beat the EVO 212.

You could always modify the fan curve on the 212 to stay quieter in sacrifice for cooling performance

It's actually Shadow Rock LP

If it is Shadow Rock LP then I definitely know it performs exactly the same as Shadow Rock Slim while being slightly more silent. Which is actualy quite shocking.
