what will work is using blender, but it's hard to understand how it works. Recently, someone posted me a good playlist to understand how to video edit in Blender https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjyuVPBuorqIhlqZtoIvnAVQ3x18sNev4

Use Sony vegas and use it as a trial.

Isn't that really complicated? When the trial ends, I will have to buy it though.

Nah Sony vegas is quite easy to learn.

You can always install it on a not so legal way :P

Thanks, I will look into this

If you think Sony Vegas' UI isn't nice, then Blender will scare the sh*t out of you.It still is very good once you get past that.

Another option would be Lightworks.

i5 4670k @ 4.2GHz (Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo); ASrock Z87 EXTREME4; 8GB Kingston HyperX Beast DDR3 RAM @ 2133MHz; Asus DirectCU GTX 560; Super Flower Golden King 550 Platinum PSU;1TB Seagate Barracuda;Corsair 200r case.

Blender can be used as a video editor if needed. Stay away from Windows Movie Maker (or whatever they call it know) though as that has terrible outputs. You could try the free version of Lightworks.

Looked into both, don't really like them. Any good paid ones then?

The layout, and colours, etc

As long as it's functional it works right video editors aren't pretty.

Layout is really nice.

I use Sony Vegas and After Effects personally.

Other people also use Premiere.

Mainly SVP, AAE for more complicated effects.

C'mon, it's only 60€ for a legal copy of Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 13. And I thought we did not promote piracy here, am I right?

It's apparently also available on Steam, and was on sale during the last summer sale. Was 33% off, costing me 40€. I haven't used it much, but I'd say it's worth it for that price.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

Even more reason to consider it. For such a price, it is able to do quite a lot if you know how to use it.
