Nice build for $700 including windows

Could someone help me make up a build for gaming from scratch for $700? Please include windows OS in this build. I have no preference for parts. Thank you all :)

P.S. Also it would be really really awesome if you guys explain why you guys chose the parts you did. I want to surprise my  best friend with this build so I want this to be awesome and I am ensured you guys will not disappoint :-)

For $700 i guess youre looking at 1080p, so i would recommend:

AMD FX 8350

MSI 970A Krait edition

GTX 970

2x4gb kingston hyperx fury

corsair cx 600 watt psu

Fractal core 1000

Then you can buy windows 7 from somewhere and when windows 10 comes out he can get the free upgrade. There is about $50 left to get windows 7, you might have to get it from a grey market site.

If you need to save money for a better case or different psu then you could go for a 960 instead of 970, saving you about $100.

Sorry forgot storage :/ you could use those parts as a base though
